ANU Press was established in 2004, building on earlier Australian National University Press imprints which date to the late 1950s. The ANU Press publishes scholarship of the highest quality from across the disciplinary spectrum, with particular strengths in Australian Studies, Asian and Pacific Studies, Biography, First Nations Studies and Knowledge, International Relations, Languages and Linguistics and Law. The Press publishes journals as well as books and is also renowned as a strong supporter of electronic open-access publishing.
