Squishface Comics Studio was established in Brunswick, Vic. in late 2011 as a shared comics making space, open to the public. Squishface is now located at Studio Hall South Melbourne and continues to welcome pros, emerging artists and families. Squishface ran Homecooked Comics Festival, runs the new Emerald Hill Comics Festival and in 2024 released our first book, Squishbook: Make comics with Squishface Studio and friends!. We are the only comics studio in the world that has been visited by both Art Spiegelman and Geoff “Coxy” Cox, and the only one to attempt diplomacy with a Stalinist dictatorship.
